STAYING AT FIELDWORK, OGAMI
Accommodation at Fieldwork is in a simple Japanese-style tatami room above the studio. The room is cosy and clean, and comfortably sleeps six guests on traditional futon beds.

Participants also have the option to sleep in the tea house (sleeps 2) or to pitch a tent on our new raised platforms in the old rice paddy behind the kiln - tents & bedding are provided.

Breakfast and dinner are included when you stay at Fieldwork. Meals will be prepared together like one big family, a mixture of Japanese and Western cuisines.

For the more cosmopolitan traveller, a local hotel or ryokan (traditional Japanese guesthouse) will provide a luxurious experience of the countryside. Plenty of options are available in nearby Sasayama, although a rental car (and possibly an international license) will be necessary to get to and from the studio (about a 15 minute drive). It is recommended that you book in advance as the area can get very busy on weekends in the spring.
